Dear Maryland Procurement Professionals,
As your 2026 President of the Maryland Public Procurement Association (MPPA), it is my absolute pleasure to officially declare March as Procurement Month!
This year, our theme — “Stronger Together: Continuing to Be A Community” — reflects who we are and what we believe. Procurement is more than policies, processes, and procurements. It is partnership. It is collaboration. It is shared learning. It is community.
I am so excited to share that we have officially received the Proclamation declaring March is National Procurement Month from Governor Wes Moore. A copy of the signed Proclamation is attached for your review. This recognition affirms the critical role procurement professionals hold in serving our agencies, institutions, and communities across the State of Maryland.
At MPPA, we firmly believe in the power of professional development and continuing education. Our profession is constantly evolving, and when we invest in learning, we elevate not only ourselves, but the agencies, institutions, and communities we serve across Maryland.
That said, we are proud to continue our traditional of hosting a FREE In-Person One-Day Training Event, which remains a cornerstone of our Procurement Month celebration.
