Missing MPPA Emails? Here’s How to Stay Connected

By Sydnee Distance, Director of Website, Communications, and Engagement

October 21, 2026

We want every MPPA member to receive the announcements, professional development opportunities, event information, and chapter updates that help you make the most of your membership.

Email delivery concerns came to my attention today, prompting me to review reports for invalid email addresses and bounced emails. I was disappointed to see how many people may still be having trouble receiving MPPA communications, so I decided to take a more direct approach by reaching out personally to those whose addresses appeared on the reports.

I am also sharing this information here so all members can review their contact information and explore additional ways to stay connected.

Please take a few minutes to check your settings, contact your IT team if needed, and review the options below.

Are MPPA emails reaching you?

MPPA uses ClubExpress, our chapter website and communications platform, to send member updates. When checking for missing messages or contacting your IT team, share this sender information:

Our recent delivery report included individual addresses marked “Not Allowed” or “Bounced” with the following email endings:

Email ending Email ending
@aacps.org @mdot.maryland.gov
@baltimorecity.gov @menv.com
@baltimorecountymd.gov @metcom.org
@baltometro.org @mfca.state.md.us
@bcps.org @montgomerycountymd.gov
@charlescountymd.gov @mywcps.org
@coppin.edu @nigp.org
@gmail.com @rockvillemd.gov
@harford.edu @umaryland.edu
@howardcountymd.gov @umbc.edu
@maryland.gov @washco-md.net

Delivery issues can vary by individual account. If you are missing MPPA communications, please review your settings even if your email ending is not listed above.

What should you do if you are missing emails?

If you use a work or agency email address, contact your IT department or help desk. Ask them to check whether messages sent through ClubExpress are being blocked, filtered, or held in quarantine.

Request that they review mailer@mail2.clubexpress.com and the domain mail2.clubexpress.com for inclusion on the appropriate safe sender list, along with any other MPPA sending address shown in your messages.

Please explain that the Maryland Public Purchasing Association is a professional association and that these communications provide membership updates, educational opportunities, and information about chapter activities.

If you use a personal email account,
check your spam or junk folder and blocked-sender settings. If you find an MPPA message in your spam folder, mark it as “Not Spam.”

Also, confirm that your membership profile contains a current, correctly spelled email address.

Four more ways to stay connected

1. Download the ClubExpress mobile app and enable notifications

Sign in to your MPPA account and allow notifications so you can receive the updates we send through the app about new articles, upcoming events, and other chapter news.

Download the app:

2. Change your primary email to a personal email address

If your work email is restricting delivery, consider updating your membership profile to use a personal email address that you check regularly as your primary email.

Keeping your contact information current also helps you stay connected when you change jobs or organizations.

3. Consider adding your cell phone number

Although MPPA has not yet adopted text messaging, I hope to introduce this option in the coming months.

Consider adding a current mobile number to your membership profile. We will share information about how to opt in to text updates when that option becomes available.

4. Check the website at least once a month

Make it a habit to visit the MPPA website and review new articles and the event calendar.

A quick monthly check can help you catch chapter announcements, upcoming programs, registration deadlines, and opportunities to get involved.

Let us know when your information is updated

Once your IT team has addressed the issue or you have updated your primary email address, please contact MPPA so we can review your delivery status in ClubExpress.

We don’t want anyone to miss an opportunity because a message didn’t reach their inbox. Thank you for helping us keep you informed, connected, and engaged with MPPA!
