Maryland Public Purchasing Association Earns NIGP Platinum Chapter Recognition for 2026
MPPA is one of 16 chapters recognized at the Platinum level for 2026
MARYLAND, September 23, 2026 — The Maryland Public Purchasing Association, Inc. (MPPA) has earned a 2026 Platinum Chapter Standard Seal from NIGP: The Institute for Public Procurement. MPPA is one of 16 chapters recognized at the Platinum level, the highest tier in NIGP’s Chapter Standard Seal program.
NIGP’s Chapter Standard Seal program recognizes chapter performance and efforts to advance the opportunities available to members. Participating chapters receive a score reflecting their progress in meeting the program’s standards, with recognition awarded at four levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.
For MPPA members, that work takes shape through educational workshops, access to NIGP training, support for professional certification, and opportunities to connect with colleagues facing similar procurement challenges. These resources help members build their skills and bring practical knowledge back to the public agencies and communities they serve.
MPPA celebrates this achievement with the members, volunteer leaders, and committee contributors who make its programs possible. Their willingness to share expertise, organize learning opportunities, and support one another strengthens the chapter and the profession throughout the year.
The Platinum designation reinforces MPPA’s commitment to professional growth and ethical public procurement. Procurement professionals interested in membership, upcoming events, or volunteer opportunities can visit www.mppainc.org.
